GürTech C-67
120 x 67 Wire Chick Rearing Cage
Major components of the cage systems consist of galvanised metal sheets and galvanised wire. Construction of our cages and such galvanised sheets and wires used in the compartments of the cages are ISO 9001-certified and the surface coatings of the sheets and wires used are of high standard.
Cage system has been designed not to be affected by the ground motion. In each construction of the cage system, there is a cage pillar at every 60 cm and large-base shoes placed under such pillars.

Cage Cells
Cage Cells are 120 x 67 cm. Side walls are manufactured of galvanised metal sheets. There are an adjustable slider cover at the chick tiers and a chick meshes (plastic) per cell.

Feeding System
The feeding system with a feed trolley is fully automated and completely made of galvanised metal sheets.
This is a system with a feed trolley and has been developed in consideration of the adversities in the chain feeding system.
Feed is kept in the 6-stand silos with tapered bases situated outside the poultry houses. Feed is automatically delivered to the feed trolleys by means of spirals passing through pipes with a 125 cm diameter which extend from the bottom of the silo to the feed buckets. Once the feed buckets are full, the system is automatically stopped thanks to photocells. Feed buckets flanking the both sides of the row move along the row at preset periodical times and empty the feed into the feeders.
Feed trolleys move along the rails over the cages by means of 0,75 HP electric motors and imported steel cables. Feeders are specially designed to dispense equal amount of feed to each tier in the hen cage systems and to prevent the feed from overflowing the feeder. Loss of feed is minimised by this system and birds are provided with fresh feed. In addition, the hens are prevented from choosing between feeds, and thus urged to consume the full amount of feed.

Water Drinking System
Watering system contains 4 nipples made of red plastic and stainless steel material per cell on 2 sets of PVC pipes crossing the cage from one end to the other between the cage cells and a water (manual) per cell at the chick tiers. Removable nipples are used on chick tiers and fixed nipples on pullet tiers.
There is a water reservoir on each tier and row.
Water from the water network is delivered to the reservoir under proper pressure and then conveyed to the drinking water pipes.
Manure Removal System
Manure is drawn and cleaned by 1mm thick polypropylene (PP) manure belts by means of 1 HP manure belt movement reducer motors which are available underneath each cage tier and row and which extend along the cage and allow for excellent cleaning of the manure.
This strong and firm structure runs without any problems even in too long poultry houses. The manure conveyed to the horizontal manure discharging conveyor at the end of the poultry house by means of rollers and scrapers available at each tier is transferred to the vertical manure discharging situated outside the poultry house from here. Manure removal conveyors consist of a 5mm thick cord-cloth covered rubber belt operating on a construction made of galvanised metal sheets and fixed tubes, front and rear rollers and a 1.5 HP reducer motor.
The section of the manure belts located behind the poultry house is equipped with a protecting cover in order to prevent the manure from springing out and contaminating the poultry house and to transfer it to the manure conveyor in a smooth manner.
Power Boards
Power board of the feeding system: electrical installation and power board of the feeding system contains the stop switches, control cables and timer at the beginning and the end.
Electrical switches of the manure cleaning system: these are watertight switches that have built-in motor protection systems.
Power board of the horizontal and vertical manure removal conveyors: it contains the protection circuits and fuses of the two reducer motors of the horizontal and vertical manure removal conveyors.
